There has been a bit of press surrounding the Chevy Volt that is...how do you say...less than ideal, as of late. Like any story, however, there are two sides. And, Courtesy Chevrolet would like to tell you the one you aren't necessarily hearing.

The elephant (a.k.a. press) in the room, we're hinting at is the investigation into the plug-in hybrids' battery packs. One vehicle and two separate battery packs have allegedly caught on fire after crash tests performed by the federal government. GM offered all Volt owners a complimentary loaner car if they felt their vehicle unsafe and announced a vehicle buy-back program, though a company spokesman has told the Associated Press that they expect few owners to participate.

The reason for that hesitation, is the other side of the story, we previously mentioned. Recent events aside (which Chevrolet is working to address/correct as quickly as possible), drivers love the Chevrolet Volt plug-in hybrid. No, we're not blowing hot air at you; owners are really happy with plug-in hybrid and pleased they chose it over their other options.

Don't believe us? Maybe, you'll listen to the results from an independent study performed by Consumer Reports...The numbers (which, as the saying goes, don't lie) show that of all vehicles on the market, consumers are most satisfied with the Chevrolet Volt.

What score is worthy enough of a Consumer Reports' Owner-Satisfaction title? Ninety-three percent. Or, at least that's what the Chevrolet Volt has and superseded all other cars in the market with. The runner up followed with a 91-percent satisfaction rating. To put, these percentages into even greater perspective, well over 300 thousand drivers were polled in total.

So, while GM and Chevy are learning from and moving on from their mistakes, as is often the case when new technology is brought to market (and not just by these two American Automakers); they're also leaving Volt drivers the invaluable feeling of satisfaction.
