Overview |
Although most of the changes in the 2008 Malibu Maxx are cosmetic in nature, they add up to a sizeable number. The changes include the introduction of a longer wheelbase, enlarged rear and front passenger foldable seats, a new sport-tuned suspensionl, projector beam fog lights, black crosshatch grille with platinum-look grille surround, three-spoke leather-wrapped sport steering wheel, sport seats, a rear spoiler, dual chrome exhaust tips, and ebony interior with gunmetal trim. |
Powertrain and warranty |
The 2008 Malibu Maxx is available in three trims –LT, LTZ and SS. While the LT and LTZ variants are fitted with a 3.5 liter, V-6 engine that gives a decent output of 201 horsepower, the SS is even more powerful with a 3.9 liter V-6 producing 240 horsepower. |
Build and styling |
Among the notable features in the interior are remote ignition, power rack-and-pinion variable assist steering, tilt steering column, drive-by-wire control for steering, remote deck lid release located inside the vehicle, perimeter lighting, AM/FM radio with six speakers, and CD player.
