Overview |
The 2009 Chevrolet Trailblazer is an SUV that is built on a truck platform. It received an extensive facelift for the 2006 model year. The Trailblazer will no longer blaze a trail from next year onwards. 2009 will be its farewell year, when the Traverse will make way for this and its sibling model, the Uplander. So, 2009 is the best year to make this buy. |
Power and performance |
The 2009 Chevy Trailblazer is offered in two trims: LT and SS. The LT, further offered as 1LT, 2LT, and 3LT, is given a 4.2-liter Inline-6 engine generating 285 hp and coupled to a four-speed auto transmission. It comes in both 2WD and 4WD options.
The SS comes with a choice of 2WD and AWD and a 6.0-liter LS2 small block V8 engine that has an output of 390 hp. This engine comes with trim-specific ZQ8 suspension with rear air-assisted load leveling and drives on a heavy-duty, electronically controlled four-speed automatic transmission.
